prune_empty evaluated every cell with a fresh memo, h6z1's shape on the same keypress path. Measured on an M4 Max: a pruned build of the folded chain went 705-900 ms -> ~350 ms at 18k and 6.4-6.6 s -> 3.0-5.0 s at 90k; the dense grid is unchanged within noise. A new bench line times the pruned build. The test counts 9 evaluations where a fresh memo per cell counts 45, and checks the pruned rows are unchanged.
