Edward Langley d7f2786711 kb: a narrowing owes the correctness test its predecessor passed
Both from the adversarial review of PR #78. The first is the sharpest finding
of the campaign: improvise-mcq4's narrowing had already been measured as
buying nothing (12.41ms to 12.56ms) and was kept only as 'the honest shape' —
and it turned out to cost a multi-client invalidation no test named. A change
with no measured benefit carried an unmeasured cost.
